Western Australia Country Health Service South West selects TPSC Improve

The South West Region of Western Australian Country Health Services has selected The Patient Safety Company (TPSC) Improve module for tracking improvement plans and implementing quality guidelines.

Described by Dr Tim Williams - “The WACHS SW network consists of over 20 facilities responsible for implementing a wide range of quality and safety programs as well as recommendations from external organizations like the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS). The Region is responsible for care over a large area and provides a wide range of acute care, aged care and mental health services in urban and rural communities in Western Australia.

The Region will use the TPSC “Notify”, “Improve” and “Inventory” modules to help coordinate all quality improvement plans and activities.  The system also allows regional facilities to evaluate their local performance against specified standards or best practice guidelines, allowing independent risk assessments and action plans to be developed.  This is an innovative use of the Advanced Quality Improvement System that emphasizes its flexibility and ability to be configured for local risk management and clinical governance.”
