Radiotherapy

Improve the safety and manage risks

Radiotherapy

We deliver preventive and proactive solutions to discover weaknesses in existing processes

Existing risks and challenges for the radiotherapy sector

Radiotherapy is a complex and potentially high-risk treatment. Radiotherapy is subject to constant innovation of processes and techniques, to improve the treatment. However, by improving, the complexity and the risk of errors increase simultaneously. For example, radiotherapy treatment shows a growing success rate these days. By using highly advanced techniques, high radiation doses can be applied with great precision. However, by using high radiation doses, a small anomaly or mistake can have serious impact. Both preventive and proactive actions are important to prevent an anomaly or mistake (in the future).

Reduce risks and improve the quality of radiotherapy

TPSC’s Collaborative Governance, Risk & Compliance Software includes both preventive and proactive solutions to discover weaknesses in existing processes, where after these weaknesses are analyzed and optimized. The software solutions support the improvement process that reduces risks for patients and staff and improves the overall quality.

Governance, Risk & Compliance software for the radiotherapy sector

Thereby, in both the Dutch and Belgian Radiotherapy Network a benchmark is set up using TPSC’s Collaborative Governance, Risk & Compliance software. The aim of the benchmark is to compare reliability of the Radiotherapy processes and thereby improve the safety and quality levels. To learn from each other is the motto behind the benchmark.
