Table of contents

The Central East Community Care Access Centre (CECCAC) connects people with the care they need, at home and in their community. CECCAC staff members are located in a number of satellite offices in hospitals, family health teams, physician offices and long-term care centres. The Central East CCAC is the sixth largest CCAC based on geography covering approximately 16,673 square kilometres. It is the second largest based on a population of approximately 1.6 million people and we serve more than 80,000 patients annually.

CECCAC has been using TPSC platform for 7 years with a primary focus on registering risk events, complaints, compliments and employee incidents.

"Overall the software has met the needs of the organization. The system has a flexible platform which provides us with the ability to customize fields, reports and dashboards. In addition, the system provides an automation feature to alert management of any high or serious issues.

The TPSC recommendation to align our events to the World Health Organization Risk Taxonomy has provided us with the future ability to analyze and trend data from hospital to community.

The collaborative work and ongoing support from the TPSC has allowed us to develop this robust system. The TPSC are truly experts and leaders in their field which would support our recommendation in an organization to adapt their platform."

“The recommendation to align our events to the WHO Risk Taxonomy has provided us with the future ability to analyze and trend data from hospital to community. ”
