Australian quality champion selects TPSC solution for Queensland

Australia – The Health Quality and Complaints Commission (HQCC) in Queensland selects solution from The Patient Safety Company for monitoring health standards and quality improvement.

Described by Manager Information Management Shaun Nesbitt -  “The HQCC is an independent health watchdog, investigating serious healthcare issues and managing about 4500 enquiries and complaints a year. We are also a quality champion - setting and monitoring healthcare standards to ensure healthcare providers improve the quality of their care.”

The Commission will use The Patient Safety Company CRMS software to monitor the compliance of more than 200 healthcare sites and to collect mandatory data on 9 key patient safety areas.  Most importantly the system will also allow sites to share quality improvement ideas and activities, and to implement local improvement initiatives linked to each of the standards.

This is an innovative use of the CRMS system that emphasises its flexibility and ability to be configured for local benefits and customer requirements.
